Balmain SS18 Pour Les Hommes: Review

Balmain’s SS18 collection takes a turn for more western looks. In a recent Vogue article by Luke Leitch, Oliver Rousteing said that he believed that people believed that he was American. He stated the record clear saying that he loves his country of France and he has been really supportive during the recent presidential elections France. His designing westernized clothes for this collection was a pure poke at what people had thought of him and his nationality.

Nonetheless, the show was very French; with French music and French style clothing. My two favorite pieces were the Chanel inspired jacket that I absolutely have fallen in love with!looks_image-1833-BALMAIN_MEN_SS18_LOOK__070.jpgThis and the shirt that also had me head over heels in love!

And the other look that I’m obsessed with is the very low cut neckline shirt that Oliver wear almost all the time. I want this so bad!

Now the beginning of the show was good but it did not do justice for me. The black and white westernized clothes almost gave me cowbells memories back when I was living in Georgia. I never had to milk a cow but I saw some and these pants, it just turned me off.

I really like this collection and can see myself wearing almost every piece in this collection. The tricky part is where though. Nonetheless, Oliver has outdone himself yet again and he deserves all of the greatness to him because he is truly a talented designer. This collection gets a 4 1/2!

Migos, DJ Khaled, Tyga, & 2 Chains Embrace Floral Power!

In a recent Vogue article by , there was a shockingly new observation in the rap game that has been a dream come true to us here at Glamour Guys. Floral prints are being picked up rigorously in the rap game within the last month. Migos sported floral button-downs while DJ Khaled matches Rihanna’s floral Balenciaga’s with his rose floral bomber.

Floral is seen to be a lot more feminine thus making it, in the traditional world, not something that men should wear. I applaud these rappers for stepping out the box and trying something new. It’s actually nice on them and a little bit sexy. This is a nice gateway into blurring gender lines and understanding that style should not be gender approved.

Vlone Black History Fashion Show In Paris: Collection Review

This weekend on Rue Cambon, there was a queue even bigger than the one outside Chanel. That probably hasn’t happened since Coco set up shop in 1910. The reason? The arrival in Paris of A$AP Bari’s clothing label, Vlone, on the Paris schedule.

If you have not heard of Vlone, then I think it is time for you to learn. Vlone is a young Harlem-born brand. Because this is its debut to Paris Fashion Week, this is a huge opportunity that could make or break the brand as a whole.Fortunately, the fashion show was streamed live on Tidal for those of us who were not lucky enough to attend the event.  Here are a couple looks from the collection.

The show was a little shambolic with music cutting in and out, tags sticking out of the leather pant, and clothes that needed a lot more editing. But nonetheless, the collection was nice and very dark. I have not yet seen price points for these items but, I believe that this collection is worth your money. This collection gets 3 1/2 stars!

The Mains Event: Skepta on Launching His Own Line—And Never Hustling Backward

Entitled Mains, Skepta’s clothing line debuts today at Selfridges in London. A compact but much pored-over capsule (it’s been in development for 18 months) Mains includes a fine cotton drill example of that emblematic Skepta garment, the tracksuit (which comes in olive and black). Tomorrow night, Skepta will be at the store to properly launch the collection.

The Green Tracksuit is something that I am actually quite excited about.

ZAYN X Versus: Capsule Review

Zayn Malik is mad about Donatella Versace. He says she is “awesome, really warm, and friendly” and that “it was sick to work with her.” The pop sensation and significant other to Gigi Hadid is referring to the collaboration he and Versace released last week, a 40-piece capsule for the brand’s secondary line, Versus, modeled by the man himself and his potential sister-in-law, Bella Hadid. “With this line, we tried to capture the essence of how my friends and I dress right now,” Malik explains. “It’s about the attitude of the street—a mix of sports, functionality, and customization.”

Here are our top faves from the collection!

Zayn’s collaboration with Versus was nice and in honesty, does capture a nightlife and street style essance and is something that is and is already be worn out today. However, I think that this collection is a little to boring. With an exception of the red that in a few of then items, the black on black makes the collection seem a little to static. Because of the nature of the collection, the price point is a little bit much for some of the items that couls be found else where. It all boils down to are you willing to spend a lot of money on something that is quite basic? Becasue of the price point to what you are given, this collection gets 2 stars.

2 Styles That You Must Try This Summer

Rompers may have only been a nice design for the ladies, but they look killer on a guy as well. This is a comfortable style and an all in one style so you have to try this look out!

Serving Looks At LA PRIDE!!!!

Saturday Night was turned up, to say the least! Terrance and I had so much fun. The only downside was that there was no weed and we paid $50 for watered down vodka!

It was our first time attending LA Pride ever since we moved to LA in March! and we did have higher expectations. I mean, the party was really going outside of the festival, but no one told me that because I have no friend out here! But here are some looks Terrance and I were serving at LA Pride Festival 2017!

Worldnet Employee Hoodie: Fetch or Tired

As usual, I wake up in the Worldnetmorning and go straight to my computer and Google fashion news. What shows up is the Worldnet hoodie being used as the next red-hot item. Honestly, I can’t get down with this “maybe” soon to be a trend as of now. I mean when the DHL shirt was in turnt, I liked it but now it’s tired and soon will this fad. But I can see myself sporting the hoodie with my face on and some nice red bottoms.

The purpose of the hoodie is to show your knowledge of the fashion industry. Worldnet is a fashion company that delivers samples and other fabrics to different fashion houses. Only fashion insiders or fashion enthusiests know about this company. So, it’s more than just an item to wear.

They’ve become a bit of a casual Friday go-to for industry vets, including PRODn at Art + Commerce senior producer Steven Dam. “It’s a super-witty, smarter (and cheaper) version of the Vetements DHL T-shirt,” Dam explains by email. “Anyone who works in fashion knows Worldnet more than DHL.”

They are so exclusive that it is hard to even get your hands on them. They are currently out of stock as of now but if you manage to get you hands on one of them, you’re in the in-group!

Will you sport this on “casual Friday?”

Ditch The Rainbow Hair And Go Black!

Black is the most common hair color in the world, and is due to a large amount of eumelanin. So why be so basic? Let me tell you why!

The most common in the world: Brown/black. Globally, both men and women with dark hair are most likely to be engaged by someone of the opposite sex, at 70 percent and 34 percent, respectively. In the U.S., women with brown/black hair have a 40 percent chance of being contacted by a male suitor, while men with brown/black hair have a 66 percent chance.

In my opinion, there is nothing more sexier than black hair. It personally took me a while to realize this but once I realized it it just changed my whole life. Us here at a Glamour Guys are all about doing the most when it comes to fashion but also knowing that simple is the most glamorous of all. Having blank canvases like hair actually brings out any other accessories or makeup and takes your look to a level that is untouchable.

Think fancy and chic. The most luxurious and glamorous people typically wear the same hairstyle or same color or style of clothes. Its then the handbag and the accessories that change everything. Check out some of these looks!
